PATCHEN WILKES TOWNHOMES
COMMUNITY
Patchen Wilkes Farm is a 200-acre horse farm located in the heart of the Bluegrass within the city limits of Lexington, Kentucky. Warren Rosenthal, the late owner of Patchen Wilkes Farm, was very passionate about raising pure white thoroughbred horses and creating a certain type of community. Rosenthal transformed Jerry’s Restaurants from two sandwich shops to over 1,350 Long John Silver’s restaurants and in 1985 he purchased and renovated Renfro Valley, turning it into the destination it is today. In the mid-2000’s, Rosenthal envisioned a new urbanism, single family neighborhood where attention to architectural detail and community took precedence. It included a variety of styles and sizes, wrap around porches, private alleyways, and median tree lined streets giving the community a unique pedestrian feel.
In 2015, Rosenthal saw a need in Lexington for a luxury, maintenance-free lifestyle community; his vision became Patchen Wilkes Townhomes! Warren brought in Andover Construction to develop the townhouse community alongside a private 7-acre lake. It is a piece of paradise with convenient access to Hamburg Place, I-75, I-64, New Circle Road, and downtown Lexington. The community consists of 54 townhomes that have been constructed in four phases and is landlocked by homes owned by members of Warren’s family, preserving the open views.
